More than 70% of the world’s waste stream consists of organic material and there are increasing pressures to deal with this waste in ways that are less harmful to the environment than the usual methods of land-filling or incineration. It is well-known that organic material can be composted; however, most current practices require significant tracts of land and extended periods of time for the waste to decompose fully. The CSRplus solution, is accomplished in an indoor environment utilizing a fraction of the current space requirement, ensuring a benchmark quality control program and an absolute minimum of odour. These advantages make it possible to operate large-scale processing units in urban settings close to the waste source.
